Quail Springs is an environmental educational nonprofit, and a leading policy advocate to change earthen building codes. They are engaged with local building officials in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties in California, and have been performing seismic and fire testing at their fully off-grid permaculture site in the Los Padres National Forest. They are forming a coalition of building officials, architects, academic researchers, builders, engineers, and activists to change building codes locally, nationally, and internationally.
